Pre-Exercise
A few minutes before I start my exercise routine I always eat 2 or 3 Saltines. Why you ask? Saltines are a good pre-exercise snack because they are low in fat and fiber, making them easy to digest while providing quick carbohydrates for energy, especially if your blood sugar is low. They can help boost and maintain blood sugar levels and prevent hunger during your workout. They’e also helpful for settling an upset stomach before exercise, particularly if you experience nausea.

Let’s talk about makeup.
I’m often asked, what foundation do you use. I know how important a good foundation can be if it perfectly matches your own unique complexion and Smooch is by far the best. What makes it so great is two-fold, they custom blend a foundation just for you and they’re right here in Phoenix. So here’s my advice, give them a call and set up an appointment because for the blend to be perfect they need to see you in person. From that one visit they will create a formula to match your complexion. They keep the formulation on file and whenever you need to reorder more foundation just contact them and within a couple of days your custom foundation will be on the way. Sandy Kerulli is my contact person and she knows her stuff!!
You’ll find lots of makeup products and accessories on the Smooch website but for me it’s only their custom foundation that I buy.
For all of my other makeup needs I use MAC and their store in the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall is great. They have a fabulous selection of products and the sales girls are very well trained in the art of makeup and take time with clients to find just the right items.
What about a tan.
For me, a tan should never be from the sun. Tthat type of tanning can be a lot of fun lying on the beach in St Tropez, but the aging effects take a toll on your appearance and are so damaging to the skin itself.
My St Tropez comes out of a bottle. It’s safe, is easy to apply, looks great and does no harm. My clients at the Clinique are always asking, why don’t you have any hyperpigmentation?, why don’t you have many wrinkles?, why is your skin not sagging? Simple answer, I have never had a SUN tan. I have always been very interested in health and beauty and thanks to my Mother, learned from a very ealy age to stay out of the sun.
So take my advice, it’s never too late to change your ways and slow down the aging process. With daily application of sunscreen with at least a 30SPF, regular facial treatments and the use of good skincare products you can generate new collagen and renew your skin’s matrix.

I believe that taking vitamins and supplements in moderation is very good for overall health and well-being, especially as we grow older. As children growing up and as young adults we are naturally more active and have big appetites. A daily protein shake is a must.
I get mine from the Vitamin Shoppe, chocolate flavor and delicious. I make a shake every day and take it with me to work for that boost of energy when I ned it most. In a blender add 1/4 cup of Frozen Blueberries ( I like the ones from Costco), 2 scoops of Athlete Protein Powder, 1/2 Banana, 1/3 Avocado, 8 ozs of water and 10 ice cubes. Mix thoroughly in the blender for about 20 to 30 seconds. This smooth and delicious shake provides lots of protein, good fats and plenty of antioxidants.
